Our story

A decade of time travel

The Timescope adventure began in 2015, driven by the vision of two founders, Basile Segalen and Adrien Sadaka: bringing history back to life in situ, through immersive technologies.

The founders

Two history enthusiasts

Timescope was born from the friendship of Basile Segalen and Adrien Sadaka, two history lovers. The spark? Coming back from a trip to Pompeii, and the frustration of not being able to picture, in images, the drama of the eruption of Vesuvius.

"Not being able to see history is what frustrates us when we want to know a city's past." From that simple idea came a credo that never left us: to bring history to life for real, where it happened, with uncompromising rigor and a taste for the spectacular.

2015, The genesis

The duo was soon joined by Léo Laparra and Victor de Kiss. Victor was a pillar of our development; his talent, energy and passion shaped the soul of Timescope, and his spirit keeps inspiring us every day since he passed away in 2024. Today a team of enthusiasts carries this vision, co-led by our partner and production director Eléonore Létang-Dejoux.

The first breakthrough: la Bastille

Our very first immersion was installed on Place de la Bastille, letting passers-by relive the storming of the prison on July 14, 1789. It was the starting point of a decade of creations, and of one ambition: raising the standards of on-site cultural mediation across Europe.

Proven expertise

More than 300 premium immersive projects delivered to date, trusted by the most prestigious monuments: Arc de Triomphe, Élysée Palace, Berlin TV Tower, Montparnasse Tower, Château de Chambord, Musée d'Orsay. An international footprint across 50+ territories, from Paris to London, Berlin, Bruges, Warsaw, Rotterdam and Lyon.

Our technological signature

Uncompromising historical rigor combined with a proprietary library of more than 10,000 historical 3D assets, and a production pipeline built to deliver premium visual quality on every project.

2025, A major milestone: The Origins of Paris

The launch of our proprietary format opened Timescope to the public: a large-scale journey along the Seine that turns the whole city into a giant historical playground. With the "Binoculars" technology, no world-cancelling headset, and departures of 15-person groups, Timescope now masters the experience end to end.

2026, The Symbol of Paris

On April 17, 2026, our second public experience opened at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, on the Champ-de-Mars: the epic of the Iron Lady, from Gustave Eiffel's first sketches to the present day.
