The Grand Paris Express worksites
The Grand Paris Express is a transport network under construction across the Paris region, requiring years of works in public space. To engage local residents and give meaning to the sites, the Société du Grand Paris was looking for a technology able to show passers-by the future of its stations.
Built from the architects’ plans modelled in three dimensions, the stations to come reveal themselves on the spot in our immersive films: from the pavement, residents see the urban landscape as it will be once the works are finished. The film’s narration also acts as a mediation tool, explaining the scope of the project.
The programme also hosted "Numéri-Scope", an art commission by the Société du Grand Paris: for each station, an immersive digital work created by artists, shown on the kiosks for six months. The works thus became part of each town’s identity, a transition residents could make their own.
Free and open to all, day and night, right by the worksites, the kiosks welcomed 90,000 users between April 2019 and September 2020.
