About Data Exchange

The fully integrated Data Exchange feature provides for convenient and flexible application integration. It enables you to populate TimeScope tables from external data sources, and conversely, populate external data repositories with TimeScope data. The data exchange feature is accessible via the Utilities command on the sidebar menu.

Import. A wide variety of import templates are provided, and you can easily add your own customized formats. At your option, you can import files containing people, projects, time records, expenses, and other data to quickly populate TimeScope. The import feature supports single level projects as well as multi-level project outlines. All imported data is checked for validity and referential integrity. 

Export. A wide variety export formats are provided, and you can easily add your own customized exports. Data can be exported to external systems in virtually any required format. In addition to the export feature, all TimeScope reports can be saved to disk or emailed in a variety of file formats, including HTML, CSV (comma separated variable), and Excel.
